This guidance offers a range of hints, tips and sources of evidence on which environmental issues to consider as your neighbourhood plan develops, including when consultation is required. The consultation form template can be used to: x record why consultation with the statutory environmental consultees is necessary at the Regulation 14 stage, and; x to outline what information and guidance you need from the consultees to further develop your plan. You can find the blank template of the form to download and complete here: Neighbourhood planning toolkits - GOV.UK It can also be used to inform the Local Planning Authority of which statutory consultees have been consulted on your plan and why. We hope this streamlines the process by focussing on the advice that is required to inform your plan. The consultation form includes the requirements for consultation for all the consultees, which you can apply as necessary depending on the issues affecting your plan. You can use the tick boxes(s) to outline the issue(s) that are of relevance to your plan. Information on issues you have identified can be included in the \221further details\222 column. When consulted on any plan the consultees will check the reasons for consultation and provide a written response back. The Statutory Consultees may be able to offer advice on specific issues outside the formal consultation stage. What if I\222m unsure on the reasons for consultation? The \221How to consider the environment in neighbourhood plans\222 guide and guidance on consulting on neighbourhood plans outline how to gather environmental evidence to establish potential effects and opportunities. The consultation form allows you to record these issues to inform the consultation process. We recommend obtaining relevant information about your area before consulting at the Regulation 14 stage. If it is not clear whether consultation is required, then this can be outlined in your consultation form and the statutory consultees can offer necessary advice. When consulted on any plan the consultees will check the information that you provide. What if my plan requires an environmental assessment? If you require advice on Strategic Environment Assessment please consult the Environment Agency, Historic England and Natural England as standard. If you require advice on Habitats Regulations Assessment , please contact Natural England as standard. The consultation form is for use in relation to the plan consultation only, to record what advice you require on environmental issues. Where do I send the form?
